T.C. Coley among summit presenters at Auburn museum
On Thursday June 25, the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University, Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, Alabama Museums Association and the Alabama Humanities Foundation will sponsor a summit on the role of Alabama’s cultural, arts and humanities organizations.
Participants will discuss what the arts and humanities bring to civic life and the impact of current economic conditions on their viability and future.
In 1957 Alabamians approved a Constitutional Amendment to abolish Macon County by dividing the land amongst its neighboring counties. The plan failed as neighboring political leaders could not agree on how best to divide the county.
